This section is devoted to one of the the principal assets of the Parish Council, namely the Village Hall Field (more formally known as the King George V Playing Field). The field, which also now includes the village hall building was gifted to the village in June 1937 by John & Eleanor Ramsden of Hareby House, Spilsby. The Ramsden Village Hall is managed on a daily basis by the Village Hall Committee. A Play Area Committee has been established under the wing of the Parish Council and presently includes Members of the former Play Area Committee and which had previously been separately consituted.

The Village Hall Field has been the subject of improvements to enable it to be properly let out for grazing on an annual basis. Letting is done through the famous Pin and Candle Auction. This followed a series of hedging and boundary improvement work kindly co-ordinated and organised by Jonathan Ireland. Jonathan worked hard to attract local business sponsors to assist with funding the project. Thanks go to both Jonathan Ireland and all the sponsors listed below for making such a positive difference to the Village Hall Field. The photographs help show the results of the work undertaken.
