It's been very quiet in Old Bolingbroke since our last meeting in May.
The police are still receiving an alarming amount of reports of scam telephone calls.
Please never give anyone your personal details especially your bank details over the phone.
I would like to draw your attention to the increase of oil thefts in surrounding areas recently.
Theft of heating and diesel oil is on the increase. The thief may be using the oil for their own personal use or selling it on for a profit.
Therefore can you please check your oil tanks regularly.
With all the gardening that is taking place this time of year in our village can you please make sure all your doors and window are secured. l! does not take long for someone to enter your house whilst you are busy mowing the lawns without you hearing or even seeing them enter.
Do not leave any garden machinery unattended whilst you pop indoors for that cup of tea. They might not be there on your return.
Can everyone please remain alert and vigilant. If you see anything suspicious please ring Lincolnshire Police on 101 .
It's important to obtain as much information and details as possible to give to the Police.
