Neighbourhood Watch Report September 2023.
Once again I’m pleased to report we have had a quiet few months in our village.
A villager reported that two males were acting suspiciously in Hagnaby Road.
They were seen to be driving slowly and looking up driveways.
They stopped outside a house and asked the owner about an old Renault Megane car that was 
parked behind gates in the driveway.
The younger male said they were picking up a car in the village but when asked where he did 
not know .
The vehicle they were driving was a White transit van. Registration LR12 YPW
I rang it in on a 101.
Incident No.218 of 26/8/23.
If anyone sees this vehicle in our village can you please ring it in quoting this incident 
number.
Unfortunately our surrounding policing area have not been quite so lucky as us.
A male from Horncastle was remanded to court for committing ten offences.
His charges includes beating an emergency worker.
Dangerous driving.
Using a vehicle on a public road without the correct insurance cover.
Intentional strangulation.
Two accounts of criminal damage to a property.
Attempted robbery and two counts of assault by beating.
A misuse of drugs act warrant was executed at a property in Horncastle.
A quantity of drugs and weapons were recovered.
Two people were arrested.
A John Deere ride on lawnmower was stolen from Harrington 6/9/2023.
Serial number 1M048AOBCFM0548.
A vehicle was seized and driver reported for having no insurance in Horncastle.
A vehicle was stopped in the Tattershall area where the driver failed a road side breath test 
and was arrested for drunk driving.
One of the police patrols in the Horncastle area used a mobile A.N.P.R.
(Automatic number plate recognition )camera and detected a car that had been stolen in 
Coventry and driven into our area.
The car was stopped and seized and the driver has been prosecuted.
The Traffic policing team unit supporting our local response teams in Horncastle stopped a 
vehicle that came to the police attention.
The driver was wanted for GBH in a different county.
He was arrested.
In the early hours of the morning one of the patrols team stopped a car in the Tattershall area .
The driver failed a roadside drugs test and was arrested.
A company banner was stollen from building works in the Co-Op car park Spilsby.
It was zipped tied in eighteen places which all were cut and then the banner was removed.
A Horncastle Road Police Unit spotted a vehicle being driven along the A158 in Horncastle.
No visibility for the driver and downright dangerous.
The police said this was abhorrent behaviour and will not be tolerated on our roads and the 
driver will be dealt with accordingly.
A red Corsica car was stolen from outside a flat in Horncastle.
Luckily the car was picked up on a police camera driving in Grimsby.
Later two males were seen getting out of the Corsica and locking it.
There is a warrant out for their arrest.
If you see or hear anything suspicious in our village please ring it in immediately to 
Lincolnshire Police on a 101 to give them a chance to get to the incident.
