Neighbourhood Watch Report September 2024. 

 

 

It’s been quiet in our village since our last meeting in July.

We must remain vigilant and alert and not become too complacent.

 

 

Surrounding areas.

 

Yesterday just before 11.30am  a house at Hall Corner East Keal was burgled . 

In the early hours of the morning a lawn tractor and other garden equipment  were stolen from a shed in Hagworthingham.

In the early hours of the morning a patrol car came across a group of youths in a car in the Sibsey area . Enquiries showed the car had been taken from Boston without the owners consent .

The car was returned to the owners and the occupants will be prosecuted.

 

Horncastle police have had reports of suspicious activity and a shed break-in in Roughton and Kirkby on Bain.

 

A hare coursing trip to Lincolnshire cost three men more than £52,000.They faced the cost of kennelling fees, 10 year criminal behaviour orders, driving bans and loss  of their equipment. All cash seized and a VW Touareg.

The chase is often recorded by the coursers for gambling purposes.

 

A police patrol stopped a stolen vehicle in Hagworthingham area.

The driver and passenger have been arrested .

 

A police stopped a car travelling in the Horncastle area . A passenger ran from the car and discarded a bag containing a large quantity of cannabis.

The driver and passenger were both arrested for being concerned in the supply of drugs and the driver was arrested for driving offences .

The car was seized and their houses were searched for further drugs.

 

Horncastle police received reports of a male acting suspiciously in Coningsby walking down residents driveways in an attempt to get into their rear gardens.

 

Horncastle police stopped a car in East Kirkby. The driver had no licence or insurance and his car was seized.

 

Horncastle Road Policing Unit stopped a car in West Ashby .

The driver failed  roadside drugs test and was arrested for drug driving.

 

A man was arrested for producing a large machete type knife from the back of his trousers in the middle of a pub in Coningsby. He has been served a prison sentence .

 

Horncastle police searched a house in the Spilsby area. Cannabis was found and the owner will be prosecuted in due course .

 

A man was arrested in Spilsby town centre for using a hammer to damage the windows of a building . He was later charged with criminal damage .

 

The road policing unit patrols stopped a car speeding in Ulcerby area. The driver failed a roadside test and was arrested.

 

A man has been charged with robbery and possession of an offensive weapon following an incident at Horncastle Post Office .

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Lincolnshire Magistrates Court.

 

A driver was stopped in the Spilsby area for having no insurance and was found to be three times over the legal drink drive limit . 

 

Horncastle police stopped a car being driven in the Sibsey area. Due to the drivers  behaviour he was searched and a packet of cocaine was found .

The driver failed the roadside drug wipe and was arrested for all offences .

Their car was seized .
