Minutes of the Ramsden Hall Village Committee Meeting held on 12th March 2019
Those present: Rowland Alexander, Roy Hallam (Chair), David Makins, Yvonne Norbron, Pam Powell, Debs Talmage Carol Wilby,
There was one member of the public present.
Apologies: None
Declarations of Interest: None were declared by those present
Minutes: The minutes of the last meeting were signed as correct.
Matters arising: The plant sale is on Sunday 19th May not Saturday 18th May.


Finances:
• Rowland stated that the bank balance at 28.02.19 was £7709.92, petty cash £71.31. This represented an increase of over £1000 in 2 months.
• This included £450 from catering..
• Expenditure: Utilities : Electricity for January was £30.93, for February £34.03. The water bill had been estimated at £47.89 but the actual reading shows we owe £140. There used to be a cross charge made against the let for the field but not recently as sheep do not drink as much as cows!
• Other expenses Alarmline £81.50 Mick Wilby for chain saw replacement chain £24.99
• David had audited the accounts. £3000 had been shown back in the VH account
• Advertising in Andy Gore’s notice board would provide an income of £1/month/advert. David is to talk to Andy about the best way to deal with collecting this money.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
• A plumber now lives in the village (Mr Barlow Tuscan Chapel Lane). He would be asked to fix the dripping tap in the kitchen.
• The kitchen had been cleaned but Carol asked that a sign be put up asking users to move the mat and clean under it.
• Roy asked for the grass area and mole hills to be cleared when better weather permits.
• The drainage hole at the top of the ramp near the kitchen needs making larger and kept clear.
• An inventory needs completing as soon as possible.


Bookings:
• Usual Hall users. Pilates would now be held on Tuesday afternoons.
• The Hall has been booked for a Christening in March.
• The Hall has been booked for election day in May.
• Opwall booking for April
• Toynton school booking for a sleepover.
• The stargazers needed the security lights switched off.
Proposed extension to the Hall • David would send a photo to Pam of the hall from Grantham point. • Pam would send the form, photos and plans for pre planning advice.
• David would contact the Clerk of the PC to see how the village hall committee could proceed if there were insufficient Parish councillors. • There had been an expression of interest from Raithby residents to join the Luncheon Club. Carol said it would be useful to join TED as this may be a way of obtaining a grant.

• A second plant and garage sale on 30th June
• Afternoon tea 7th July
• Musical event – Mark Tong to be asked re band
• 10th August Barbeque and ukulele band
• Roy to ask Raithby about a joint garage sale
• Craft fair 26th October
