 Minutes of the Ramsden Hall Village Committee Meeting held on 2nd July 2020 by Zoom

Those present: Roy Hallam, Yvonne Norbron, Pam Powell, Charles Routh, Debs Talmage, Carol Wilby (Chair),

Apologies: Julia Alexander ,Rowland Alexander, David Makins

Declarations of Interest: None were declared by those present

Minutes: The minutes of the last meeting were to be signed by Roy and handed to Pam.

Matters arising: None

Finances:

  • • Rowland stated that the bank balance as at 31/05/2020 £22,356.97, petty cash £61.34(unchanged from 31/12/19).

  • • Income: ELDC £10,000 Grant

 

Bluestones £40 Storage charge April and May

Roy Hallam £244 Plant sales

  • • Expenditure:

 

Opus energy £33.27 (March)£22.93(April)£21.69(May)vast majority is daily standing charge

Anglian Water £149.89 1st quarter adjustment from 2

  • • Discretionary Rate relief was awarded 20/05/2020

  • • Thanks to David and Rowland who had obtained the ELDC grant.

 

COVID guidance and Policies

  • • The PC will be producing risk assessment and other relevant policies to allow the potential for the hall and play area to be opened up again. When these are ratified at the PC meeting we will need to meet to assess how we implement the policies to allow hall users to return.

  • • Carol asked Debs if she would be the Health and Safety officer for the committee and she agreed.

 

Cleaning and Maintenance:

  • • Dan has mended the broken socket in the hall He will fix a timer for the heating in due course.

  • • A new toilet paper holder is required in the disabled toilet area.

  • • We would all decide how to implement the new system re COVID rules and help to get the hall ready for use as soon as possible.

 

Proposed extension to the Hall

  • • The latest lot of plans have been circulated to the committee today and all agreed these were to go to the PC meeting to ask for the PC to approve them and have them submitted to ELDC.

  • • Carol and Pam would contact the adviser from ELDC regarding kitchen design to try to gain an idea of the costs that would be involved.

 

Planned Events/Fund Fundraising

  • • Pam has set up an easyfunding website which she will let resident know about in the Newsletter to encourage to use when shopping online.

  • • Rowland has been in touch with ELDC about a lottery. We do not need a separate account, He suggested September as a start date.

 

Any other business

 

  • • Carol was thanked for her article for the Newsletter
