Minutes of the Ramsden Hall Village Committee Meeting held on 10th March 2020
Those present: Roy Hallam (Chair), David Makins, Pam Powell, Debs Talmage, Carol Wilby
There were no members of the public present.

Declarations of Interest: None were declared by those present
Minutes: The minutes of the last meeting were to be signed as correct.
Matters arising: None
Finances:

• Rowland stated that the bank balance as at 29/02/2020 £11385.75, petty cash £61.34, unchanged from 31/12/19.

• Only revenue from usual hirers in first two months of 2020.

• Cheque for £928 received from Operation Wallacea on 09/03.2020 not included in above numbers.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

• Debs has transformed the toilet area painting the walls and ceilings.

• Pam has bleached the floors in the toilet areas and the kitchen.

• New toilet brushes have been purchased.

• A new toilet paper holder is required in the disabled toilet area.
Bookings:

• Usual hall bookings continue

• Opwall conference booked for April

• 7th May booking confirmed by ELDC

• Jan Hutson has cancelled her booking and returned her keys
-
• There was a discussion about policies and it was decided to wait to see what the PC produce.

• There was a thorough discussion about a request to use the hall kitchen from a local firm to make soup for selling at markets. It was decided that this was not going to be allowed especially as there were concerns about insurance liabilities.

• The booking form made need revamping. Some users now submit the form online. More discussion need to take place.
Proposed extension to the Hall
-
• There was discussion around making the male toilet into a kitchenette.

• Ian Carrington would be approached for advice.

• Pam had spoken to building regs personnel at ELDC about closing the end of the hall off with doors through to the entrance lobby. She was waiting for the Fire Officer to visit.

• We made need to think about hiring a cleaner once a month

• Coronavirus notices would be put up asking hall users to be vigilant. Soap dispensers are available in the hall.
