Minutes of the Ramsden Hall Village Committee Meeting

 held on May 17th 2022 in Ramsden Hall

Minutes:   The minutes of the last meeting were accepted and signed by the Chair.

These are unaudited accounts. A cheque had been raised for £10,001.30 for the PC. We owe the PC £5000 and the cost of the refurbishment is approximately £17,000 at present and will be just under £20,000 on completion.

Refurbishment of the hall

Bruce Talmage reported on the refurbishment to the hall.

Outstanding works were for the kitchen as follows:

  • Dishwasher to be installed and commissioned
  • Plumbing to be finished
  • Backdoor needs replacing
  • Two shutters have arrived and need fitting
  • Caulking needs to be done
  • The remaining kitchen units need fitting
  • The bar canopy needs doing
  • Tiling need to be done
  • The alarm operation needs sorting. Ceiling in the back door needs doing
  • Fire sign needs putting up
  • Shelf? Pegs?
  • Seat outside needs refixing

Bruce was thanked for his work and efforts.

Toilets:

These have been refurbished. Outstanding work as follows:

  • Fitting of new toilet roll holders
  • Fixing of mirrors

Main Hall

Outstanding work as follows:

  • Cables to be covered
  • Spot lights need fitting

Foyer

Outstanding work as follows:

  • Storeroom door to be painted
  • Outside doors to be painted

Outside area

Outstanding work as follows

  • Parking areas to be marked
  • Brick wall around barbeque area
  • Green guttering on west side
  • Concrete under the roof needs doing

Cleaning and Maintenance

  • Anastasiia had helped Debs and Pam to clean
  • ADM heating would service the boiler
  • Hallgate 5 year electrical survey to be organised

Bookings

  • Usual bookings
  • LRHA 19th May
  • Use of hall in connection with a wedding May 21st
  • First Aid course 25th May
  • FOBC
  • Wedding reception June                                                                                              

There may be Yoga teacher interested in hiring the hall.

Date of next meeting

A short meeting would be held on the 31st May re Jubilee organisation. Roy and Isobel to collect the hanging baskets for the hall and plants for the village planters.

The next meeting would be at 4pm on 5th July 2022.
